I started making these wine bags when BYOB restaurants started popping upĀ near my girlfriends house in Baltimore. I mean, if you are going to get all gussied up to go out, you might as well look classy while your drinking. Nothing says style like walking into eat with a crumbled paper bag shoved under your arm.
Oh… and don’t get me started on those crappy string straps on the store bought wine bags. Nothing like sliding your bottle into a bag and having it crash all over the floor. What a mess!
Customers have also clued me into other uses. Wine, booze, olive oil, smanshy tonic and other juices all fit in these bags. Most recently, a customer told me she put roll up cutting mats, spatulas, and other kitchen utensils. Ingenious!
Completely lined, they slip right on your wrist for easy carrying! At $10, what a great way to dress up that bottle!
Seriously…. who doesn’t want one of these ridiculously cuddly monsters?! They are great for infants, toddlers, tweens, dogs…. the list goes on and on!
specs:
Made (by me) from polyester fleece and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. Machine wash- tumble dry low.
All eyes, flowers, neck ties etc are appliqued down. Nothing for a little one to chew off and swallow. Totally safe for the crib!
Bright colors, super soft. Completely huggable!
Dolls are 15″ish by 7″ish inches. Each doll and style vary slightly.
I have all these monsters in stock, with me. They are on sale right now for only $10! What a great gift for only 10 smackers! If youa re instersted in any of them, comment or shoot me a message. mindy@shessopretty.com

It’s cold outside baby! Keep all you warm and cozy heat in your house with one of my draft snakes. I live in a fantastic turn of the century house. I love so many things about it, but my doors are pretty drafty! These babies stay in place and make my giggle at the same time.Ā If none of these strike you fancy, I am happy to make custom snakes. Or maybe a snake that has already eaten, with a lump?
Ahhhhh! It’s more pillows! I have stepped away from my sewing machine, I have had my last show of the season, and I now finally have time to list goodies on my Etsy shop and fill people in on what is going on!
These pillows are all available on my website andĀ I am happy to ship immediately! Or….. if you happen to be local, I will be in the Baltimore-HoCo ish area the beginning of this week and in NoVa at the end of the week. Shoot me a message, I will gladly try to work out a local pickup.
If you are anything like me, you are still doing Christmas shopping! I have been scouring Etsy and local shops for that “just right” gift for the super special people on my list! Being a maker and small business owner, I am doing my best to buy local and buy handmade.
Here is the latest installment in my Dorky Decor series available in my Etsy store.Ā I will ship immediately via priority mail to try and get your purchases to you by Christmas!
I love Halloween! I love costumes! And I love love love tutus! So – when my friend Colleen asked me to “make all her Halloween dreams come true”, how could I say no?!
While I have made tutus many times before, I have never made one as ridiculously fluffy as Colleen requested! How hard can it be? Just like my other tutus- just more……
40 yards of tulle, 80 yards of ribbon
Dearest Singer, Thank you for my ruffling foot!
Colleen put the rest together. A little black trim on a yellow leotard, arms socks, yellow dye and a thrift store black and white knit shirt( for her hat), pipe cleaners, and a pair of my moms crazy 80’s sunglasses with the lenses busted out.Ā The combination is AMAZING!!
That’s right! On your next stroll through Historic Ellicott City be sure to stop into Love & Glitter and check out my new bags and pillows! Love & Glitter is chock full of flirty and fun HANDMADE goods from local artists!
After a week of furious sewing, my monster bra supply is at its furriest. To get all of these fabulous creations out into the universe I needed some professional photos with experienced models. Shockingly enough, my friends have an unhealthy love for playing dress up and were more than happy to volunteer for the task. We had a blast mixing and matching monster bras, skirts and wigs and lucky for me, they work for mimosas.
Get 'em while they're HOT!
I don’t have the final shots back from the photographer yet, but here are a few we took ourselves.
Rock it ladies!
Goth cheerleader wig + monster bra + tutu = badass!
Bags, skirts, monster bras and door snakes by yours truly are now available in Baltimore! Swing by In The Details at 813 W 36th St, Baltimore Md and check out my line as well as all the other goodies Glenn and Linda have found for their shop!
I am thrilled with how successful the Sowebo Arts & Music Festival was on Sunday. It was a fantastic day with beautiful weather, wonderful people and a great mix of musicians and artists. I will definitely be going back next year. I sold two monster bras to some lovely ladies who are attending Starscape on June 4 and I hope they send me some pics of their outfits. My last monster bra will be on sale at a cool new shop in Hampden….details on that very soon!
But alas, all of this means that I need to be a monster bra making machine this week. I have a photo shoot scheduled on Sunday so I can list some new items on etsy and we absolutely MUST have monster bras. Wish me luck!
