Veronica is here!

May 25, 2011

Say hello to Veronica, my new clutch! A go to for any special occasion! This little ditty holds a smart phone, lip gloss and even the emergency pair of flip flops! A must for every wedding I go to!
Made from silks, vintage fabrics, and quirky cotton prints. Just because you are going black tie, doesn’t mean you can’t carry a PBR bag. Right?!

Ahhhh, the Muppets!

March 1, 2011

Watching The Muppet Show is one of my fondest memories of childhood. I remember a ridiculous amount of giggling between my brother and I from the first moment of the theme song, to the last number.

This past weekend I was kicking back in a rented house with a really great group of friends. To my delight and surprise, I was woken up early Friday morning to the sounds of the show. I grabbed my blanket and a pillow and deposited my self on the sofa and watched HOURS of Kermit, Piggy, The Swedish Chef and all my old friends.

After my coffee kicked in and the ridiculous wave of nostalgia faded away, I remembered  this great video post in Craft magazine.

Enjoy!

Rad Godzilla Quilt

February 22, 2011

So, I love making unusual baby quilts.  Everytime I make one, its a new chance to push the limits of traditional baby design! Star Wars is an all time favorite, my baby Boba Fett is pictured below.

This spring/summer will be bringing a whole new batch of little ones. I have a few ideas rattling around in my head, but no new quilts have been made as of  yet. I will be sure to post pictures as I sew them up!

I have been remiss in the past about photographing the gifts I make, but I did manage to dig up a few shots of older  projects.

I am always unsatisfied with the flooring options I can find. Right now I am frustrated with the retro kitchen flooring patterns. I was thinking that painting the floor be a good option. Hmmmmm…….
